This week in P1B we have been been learning new sounds ‘z’ and ‘w’. We had fun making webs and reading about how a zebra got its stripes.

We have worked hard learning to recognise and order numbers 11-20 and enjoyed learning about capacity.

Our favourite task this week was an experiment using chocolate buttons to learn about changing states. We really liked listening to Michael Rosens poem ‘Chocolate’ as we waited to see what happened to the chocolate. We then worked in groups to sort a variety of things into the correct state : solid, liquid or gas.
