Primary 7A – Weekly Update

It’s been a strange old week in Primary 7A, with only some of our class in school and the rest still learning at home.  It has been brilliant to see such a high level of engagement from many of the children who have been completing learning tasks online and also joining the rest of the class for our daily catch ups.  The children in school have been equally busy with their learning and have been absolute super stars!

In Maths this week we started some work on calculating the volume of cubes and cuboids.  We will return to this once we have all of the children back in class.  We also attempted to carry out at a Christmas Maths Quiz on teams, there were a few technical difficulties but we got there in the end.

In writing this week, we created a seasonal postcard.  The children had to create a Christmas scene and then describe it in detail.  The standard of descriptive writing has really improved over recent months, particularly the use of similes and metaphors in their writing.

In Art, the children in school have been busy trying to complete our classroom window display in time for the big reveal next week.  We have been incredibly impressed by the standard of work they have produced.  Here are a few pictures (yes, the children really did do these by themselves).  Aren’t they amazing?!

Finally, today was crazy hair day.  Here are a few examples of our crazy hair!

We hope you all have a fantastic weekend and we will see the children next week for the last week of term.
