This week we continued to make progress in our maths learning. Our two fantastic lead learners set a super example to everyone on how to be Ready, Respectful and Safe at school. They have been encouraging everyone to try their best and to show kindness and respect others in the class, in the playground and in the Dinner Hall. We have continued to earn points as all the adults could easily see how ready, respectful and safe we were.

This week was the second week of Advent so we have talked about Peace and love. Our big highlight was that several of our pupils made the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time on Wednesday when Father Simon came in to school.

Highlights of the week :Drawing our version of Hogwarts at night (some of us even had a flying Harry Potter flying his broomstick), We also used chalks and oil pastels to draw Christmas trees. We were finding out about the structure of a newspaper story. Most of us were able to write a newspaper report and Harry, Ron and Hermoine taking part in one of their challenges. Mrs Miller is still reading out compliments about someone in the class from the advent train. It has been fun waiting to hear what someone else likes about us but it has also been fun listening to the compliments for other children. It has_ really nice to hear compliments about each other. Crazy hair day, some of us looked amazing with our crazy hair, hats, plates, cakes, snowmen, reindeer, crazy colours. It was fun seeing our friends look so different.

Next Week : On Wednesday we are having a whole day dedicated to Harry Potter. Finishing our wands, pictures but mainly watching Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. Thank you to every parent for agreeing to let us watch this movie at school with our friends. We will be having toffee popcorn, chocolate and sugar free juice. 🙂

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend stay safe and healthy. 🙂

With the wetter weather could children bring in indoor shoes to wear? These indoor shoes will be kept in the classroom. Thank you.
