P1B Weekly Highlights Week Beginning 9th November

We have had another busy week in P1B.

We have been learning the sound ‘K’. We can write the letter, we can say words with the sound and we can say where the sound is made in our mouths.  We designed kites using paper, string and straws.

In maths we have been learning what + and = means.  We have been adding sets of objects together and used objects to make addition sums.

We read Percy Park Keeper story and went in to the woods to build new houses for the animals.

We have been learning about Robots.  We read the story Robot Rumpus and then designed our own robot which would be able to help us.

We programmed Bee bots and made them move.

It was world Kindness Day today and also Children In Need.  We designed our own Pudsey Bear and we created a heart to give to someone special.

We read the story ‘Kindness is Cooler Mrs Ruler and wrote a sentence about how we are kind.  We remembered to use a full stop at the end of our sentence.

We hope you all have a lovely weekend and look forward to seeing you all again on Monday for another busy, fun filled week of learning.
