Primary 5 A have had another fantastic week

Literacy – We have enjoyed learning about contractions and how to use them properly in our writing. Our reading comprehension activities  have been based on our class novel and are helping us to have a deeper understanding of the language used within the book.

Science–  Primary 5 have been learning to identify and label parts of a plant. We are looking forward to examining real flowers using magnifying glasses next week.

Maths– We have had fun developing our knowledge of compass points and directions using the Simpson’s village map ! Primary 5 have been developing their ability to add two and three digit numbers using mental strategies.

Topic  We have been continuing to build our classroom display for The Secret Garden.

Hot Chocolate Award– Congratulations to Joshua for going ” over and above” throughout the week.
