Primary 5A have had another fantastic week with lots of exciting learning !

Numeracy and Maths- We have been consolidating rounding numbers to the nearest 10 and 100. Primary 5 have also been learning  about coordinates. We have drawn our own grid, plotted points accurately and created our own imaginary rockets!

Literacy – Our new topic is based on the novel entitled ” The Secret Garden.”  Our class made predictions about the book on leaf templates and we will use them as part of our class display! We have also been working with a variety of conjunctions and learning how they can be used to uplevel our story writing.

Art –  As part of our Topic we created beautiful tree designs using water colours.

Outdoor Learning – Primary 5 had fun completing different challenges in the woodlands. We played knots and crosses using outdoor materials, made symmetrical pictures, created dens for a miniature toy and went on an alphabet scavenger hunt.

R.E.  We have been learning about how the Bible is organised and how to locate a particular scripture.
