P4a- Tuesday 26th May- Afternoon Activities

Good afternoon P4a. We have a beautiful RE task about The Fruits of the Holy Spirit to complete this afternoon.

Task 1 – The Fruits of the Holy Spirit

First, you will need to watch the Powerpoint and after that you will have a worksheet with some questions to answer about it. As always, if you can’t print it, don’t worry and just write the answers in your jotters or, in case they have finished, in a piece of paper.

We are now in between two very special occasions for Catholic people and all the ones who believe in Jesus:

The Ascension of Jesus to Heaven, which was celebrated on the 21st of May, exactly 40 days after Easter Sunday, the day of his Resurrection,

and the day of the Pentecost, which will be celebrated on the 31st of May.

Because we are between the Ascension and the Pentecost, some people have been praying a NOVENA, which means a prayer that we pray for nine consecutive days and that, in this case, is different every day, from the day after the Ascension to the day before the Pentecost.

It might sound a bit strange that we say Fruits of the Holy Spirit because we know the Holy Spirit was not a tree! But if you read the Powerpoint you will see it is very easy to understand why we call them that!

Here is the Powerpoint:

It will look familiar as you have seen it before.

And here is the worksheet:

After you finish this work, it would be really nice if you could draw the fruits with the 9 words in them as well! After all, life is so much sweeter with those fruits, isn’t it?

Good work and don’t forget the Virtual Sports activity for today!
