Good morning, I hope you are ready for more exciting learning activities. We are going to do some Numeracy and Writing today.

Writing

First complete the warm-up challenge, you have one minute to complete each activity !

Now that you are feeling more alert , we are going to create and describe our own character. Look at the PowerPoint provided and it will give you lots of ideas and hopefully inspiration! We have also provided a character word mat with descriptive vocabulary which might be useful. It’s entirely up to you what type of character you describe!  Think about some of the well known ones in children’s films like Harry Potter, Mrs Trunchbull and Willie Wonka etc .Consider the following questions before you start.

What does your character look like?

Do they have a secret?

What type of personality do they have ?

Do they have a special power?

What do they like/ dislike?

How old are they?

Describe their distinctive features using exciting adjectives, similes and alliteration.

We can’t wait to read your fantastic character descriptions uploaded onto your PLP.
