Topic and Art – The Romans – Making a Mosiac

Mosaics are a type of art that are made up of hundreds and thousands of mini squares of tile or stone.  They often are laid in a pattern or make up a pictures.  To find out a little bit more about mosaics, visit

http://www.primaryhomeworkhelp.co.uk/romans/mosaics.html

then complete your task.

Tasks

  • You could use the internet to look up other mosaic designs.
  • Make your own mosaic by doing one of the following:
    • Visit http://www.gwydir.demon.co.uk/jo/mosaic/easy.htm and make your own design. Either print it out or take a photograph if you can.
    • Use squared paper to colour your own design
    • Cut out small squares of coloured paper and stick down to make your own mosaic picture (ask permission before you cut anything up
    • If you have a look at the attached PDF, you should hopefully see a picture of an example of a mosaic.  22-04-20 – P4A PM tasks
  • Don’t forget to add me to your personal learning blogs so that I can look at your work and give you feedback
