Your afternoon task today is all about Morse code, a way of communicating with people that came in very handy during WW2.

Attached is a sheet that gives you an example of what the Morse code alphabet looks like and has some secret phrases for you to try and figure out!

There is also a challenge on the sheet to see if you are able to create a way of sending a Morse code message to someone in your house, this could be using something you have already have at home or something you may have to put several items together to get working.

In the channels on teams where you can chat, could you say hello to your friends using only dots and dashes? Could you spell out their name as well as your own?

If you would like to know more about the invention of Morse code there is lots of information to be found about its invention and how it was used during the war. If you find any interesting facts, you could note these down in your jotter or record them on your device.
