We were lucky to be able to hear about a few of the fantastic questions that some young people asked yesterday in relation to the Set 1 challenges. Maybe they will challenge your thinking…

  1. Some interesting questions from some pupils at Broxburn Primary School about the ‘wordless text’ task:

    What would the message be?
How long would it have to be?
Who would we send it to?
    How would we send it?
Would we want a reply back?
    Who would your target be?
Could it be a mixture of pictures and emojis? (or other different things)
    What emojis can I use?
    Could I use drawings?
Could I use codes (like morse code)
    Could I use sign language?
How can I learn sign language?
Does everyone need to be able to understand it, or just my target audience?
Could you make up your own code and make ‘words’?
Should I use a mixture of communications?
Can I tell the same story different ways?
Can I tell an old story in a new way?
