  1. Thank you. Can you advise how we use Fry Words please? C has said you colour words in Green if he recognises them or red if you don’t?

  2. Hi there, C is almost right. colour Pink/Red if he can read them and place a green tick if he isn’t sure, the more you practice once he has 3 green ticks colour them pink/red. Look through stories at home can he find any? Practice writing them in his jotter or using paint etc. A lot of these words are words you can’t sound out so only way to learn is through constant repetition. If you can, make up games e.g. Write the words he isn’t sure off on a piece of paper (2 copies) cut them up to play pairs, snap etc, hide one set round the house and he can use the other set to go and find them.
