World Cup Celebration Day!

On Tuesday 9th June 2026, we had our World Cup Celebration Day. Both Schools thoroughly enjoyed a wide range of football-themed activities, with the day culminating in some exciting staff versus pupils football matches.

A huge thank you goes to Mr and Mrs Sandison for all their hard work and organisation in making the event such a success. We would also like to thank their team of volunteers from the WLFA for their support and contribution throughout the day. Everyone had a fantastic time, and the event was a great success.

Our Gastronomic World- P6/7

P6/7 have been learning about all about fairtrade, food and nutrition and safe and hygienic practices. We enjoyed researching recipes and budgeting ingredients for our chosen foods. We showed fantastic collaboration skills as we followed recipes and cut, chopped, grated and prepared ingredients. We had a wonderful afternoon on Wednesday where we invited our adults in to join us in sampling our delicious pizzas and fudges.

P5 Camp!

The P5s at Letham and Riverside will be the very first P7s at Craigshill Primary, and we’ve planned a wide range of experiences to help them get to know one another and build strong, lasting friendships. One of the highlights we offer all our P5 pupils is an overnight camp — and we were lucky enough to enjoy it in beautiful sunshine both last week and this week. Take a look at this sway  to see pictures of our fantastic experiences.

Chocolatarium Visit

Each class at Riverside thoroughly enjoyed their visit from Edinburgh’s Chocolatarium this week! We learned all about the process of making chocolate, including the journey of a cacao bean and the importance of Fairtrade. A highlight of the visit was sampling different flavours of chocolate and decorating our own chocolate lolly. A huge thank you to Fraser for spending his week with us and teaching us about all things chocolate.
