News from p6

It’s been a busy week in P6 while the boys and girls have been at camp. We have missed them all and are looking forward to seeing them back on Monday 🙂

We have completed some fantastic artwork through a mini masterclass on Andy Warhol and went out on a leaf walk through the community and Peat Moss. The boys and girls collected lots of gorgeous leaves and created some leaf art with their friends back in class.

Here are some photos of our week of fun!

Tuesday Dalguise Update

The children are enjoying a second day of activities at Dalguise.

Activities yesterday were fencing and vertical challenge. Today the children participated in the challenge course and tree climb. All are having a great time.

P7 Homework Challenge

Before the holidays Primary 7 were set the challenge of creating a scene from their reading book. I was delighted and impressed with the scenes from Captain Underpants, Superfudge, The Mazerunner and Jungle Shorts today. Each scene, even though some were from the same book, were unique and demonstrated great both creativity and innovative ideas.

Well done!!

My focus is ‘Nurture’.

My home group is Bruce 3.  We met together for the 1st time on Friday.  As part of our ‘Getting to know you’ activities the children faced the ‘cup challenge’! They all worked extremely well together!  I was extremely impressed with each and everyone of them, in particular the older children who ensured that the younger ones were included.  Here are some photos of the challenge! 🙂

P7/6 .. Welcome Back!

Welcome back p7/6!

We have had a very busy week catching up with each other after the October break, had a variety of ‘spooky’ based activities & lessons, Vertical Groups have re-started, and we continued with our Tobacco (p6) and Alcohol & Drug Misuse (p7) workshops … and of course our Halloween parties!!

Some of our class are off to camp next week; What an exciting opportunity!! I am sure you will all have an absolutely fabulous time and me and your classmates can’t wait to hear all about your adventures!  I am sure we will have some great experiences of our own to share with you too xx
