Just a quick reminder that the live finals for ‘Blackburn’s Got talent’ are taking place tonight.  These will be held in the Partnership Building instead of the Community Centre so make sure you are at the right venue : )

Looking forward to seeing another fantastic show this year!

Good luck to all our entrants

Sports Day 2018

Great sportmanship shown by the pupils today! We were fortunate to have the sports before the rain arrived in the afternoon!  Well done to everyone who took part and to the winners of the races.

Murrayfield’s Gala Float – Blackburn Gala Day

The Parent Council have made a great start to our float decorations and we now have several drawings ready to be painted.  The hub will be available to use after school from 3.20pm on Tuesday 29th and Wednesday 30th to set up and paint these items, alternatively if you have paints at home and would like to come and collect one of these drawings and take it away to paint at home then this can be arranged.  These drawings are on card which are approximately 1m x 50cm – 1m x 1m in size so can easily be carried or fit into a car.  If you are available to come into school on either Tuesday or Wednesday please contact the school office to let them know.  Likewise if you would like to take a drawing away, please speak to the school office or Mrs Waugh to arrange this.

We are hoping to get 1st prize again this year so all help is much appreciated!

Thanks in advance,

Mrs Waugh

Dancathon 2018

Good morning,

p4-7 had a fabulous morning at the Dancathon last Friday and I would like to share some photographs with you. We all danced to some excellent songs and even the teachers enjoyed themselves teaching the children some amazing dance routines 🙂

See if you can spot yourselves or your child having lots of fun!

Fun in the Sun in P.4 (25.05.18)

Another fantastic week in Primary 4 – We have nearly earned all our marbles to have a Hollywood Glamour Party (more details to follow).

This week’s Raffle Prize Winner is Emily Templeton. We are also really proud of Emily taking part in the Race for Life last Sunday.

Well done to Adam and Callum who were awarded prizes at Boy’s Brigade this week! I took a picture of Callum, as he didn’t want to stand up at Assembly.

Remember to read the criteria carefully in preparation for your Class Talks, which will take place on Thursday 31st May and Thursday 7th June 2018.

Have a wonderful weekend in the sunshine and I’ll see you all on Monday.
