News from P2F
Have been experiencing computer glitches this week…..eek!
Primary 2F have been working with P 2S in the afternoons to practise our Assembly on Respect.
I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did. We have some budding actors in primary 2.
Even though we were busy practising, we still had time for work.
We started learning about money – Kailli
We have been reading new books – William

We had a special visit from a policeman on Thursday (Millie’s Dad) –

We have been learning how to write a Poem – Robert
We wrote our poems on colours – Elsie
We have been doing our Reading – Robbie
A massive well done to both Primary 2S and 2F for a fabulous performance at their Assembly today, a super proud Miss Akram! 🙂 Even though they worked super hard at assembly they still managed to do some problem solving after it! What great teamwork from P2S to solve the problem blocks together! (See pictures below)

Spooky News from P2F
Primary 2F had great fun making our biscuits and decorating cakes etc for our Halloween Enterprise.
Thank you to all the classes that visited our Spooky Classroom and bought the fabulous treats…….spider biscuits, spider fairy cakes, ghost lollipops, mini pumpkins, eyeballs and snakes!!

What have we been learning this week?……………
We have been learning about Respect – Millie
Being kind to your friends is respect – Zoe
It is being caring – Amber
We have to respect each other – Melanie
Treating people how you would like to be treated – Elsie
If someone is talking to someone else, another person shouldn’t interrupt their conversation – Eve
We were writing sentences with adjectives describing Halloween characters -Peter
we had to remember our full stops, finger spaces and capital letters when writing the sentences – Robert
We had our Halloween disco last night – Quinn
We played lots of games at the Halloween disco – Zoe
We were finishing off our People Who Help Us topic – Amber
We did circle time and spoke about our holidays – Robert
We finished off our Place Value topic – Robert
We will be having our Assembly next week on RESPECT – Amber

Update from the P2S superheroes…..
We have been learning about describing words – Peter
These are called adjectives – Peter
We were talking about nouns too – Lucas
The dogs trust lady came and visited to tell us how to look after dogs – Robert
We have been learning to handwrite a “t” – Elsie
We had to listen to different sounds of emergency vehicles and try and figure out which emergency vehicle it was – Amber – and we made “little people of people who help us”
We were learning our “ou” in early intervention – Eve
We wrote a story on a fireman saving somebody – Kenzie
We practised our “igh” sound in early intervention too – Millie
We had to match the digital and analogue clocks up – Leah
We had to make numbers with numicon – Jay James
Well done to the Batgirls for winning the group points this week! 🙂
Well done to our star writers this week; Amber, Lucas, Robert, Zoe and Megan.
Also a superb effort and congratulations to; Amber, Zoe, Eve, Millie and Elsie for their Head Teachers award. Their Head Teachers award was for their excellent independent work on their comprehension questions related to their reading book. Great work girls! 🙂

We were doing our best at reading our books – Robbie
It was Parents nights this week – Courtney
We have been doing our handwriting, letter “l” – Jay James
We wrote a letter to the cleaner for helping keeping our classroom tidy – Mason
We have been learning the sound “oi” – Eve
We were learning about nouns – Amber
We had to find nouns in our reading book – Millie
We had star writers from last week (Millie, Leah, Elsie and Peter) – Melanie
We were colouring our water and fire for our people who help us board – Robert
We had to do numbers in order, when we outside – Peter (We were learning about ordering our numbers, and took our learning outside, see picture below 🙂 )
We had to “draw our numbers in chalk and work as a team to put them in order” – Robert
We did yoga with Mrs McGlynn – Millie
We done the caterpillar one (yoga) – Amber
We learned that mistakes grow our brain – Elsie
We had a challenge of doing a cursive “f” – Lucas

We have been learning about the ‘igh’ sound (aye aye captain) at early intervention – Peter
We were learning our cursive “l” – Zoe
We have been learning about lollypops (used by the lollypop man or lady) – Eve
We played “on the deck” with Mrs McGlynn
We were doing hula hoops, jumping on the trumpet, throwing bean bags and running in P.E. – Amber
