Primary 3G and Children in Need

Primary 3G have had a really busy week practising for their Children in Need Assembly.  They have been selling raffle tickets and have made quite a lot of money.  The money is going to the Children in Need charity and it will help children to have better homes, lives, give them food and some things that will help them survive.  We have been learning about needs and wants in our class and even though we know that toys are wants, we wish that we could help children who don’t have toys to have some nice things to play with.

Next week, we are holding a bake sale and our children and adults raffles will be drawn.  Make sure to buy your raffle tickets to help us to raise even more money for Children in Need.

This post was written by the children of P3G and typed in by Mrs Millar.

Mrs Waugh, Mrs Mackie and Mrs Millar are so proud of all the boys and girls who managed, even when the microphone stopped working, to carry on and deliver a very special message.

This week in P3T…

We have been learning about…

  • shapes and objects- telling the difference between 2D shapes and 3D objects and finding ways they are used in our everyday life.
  • Some of us have been reading non-fiction stories and using the information we have learned to create a fact file about mice.
  • Some of us have been playing word games to become super snappy readers.
  • We have all been practicing our cursive handwriting.
  • In gym we have been learning Scottish Country Dancing with Mrs McGlynn.

P3G ‘Children in Need’ – Raffle and Bake Sale Update

bbc_children_in_need-svgHi all,

We will be drawing the winners of the ‘Children in Need’ raffles, for both the children and the adults, at the assembly on Friday 25th November as we are still waiting on a couple of prize items being delivered!  Tickets will still be available to buy next week at a cost of 50p for children and £1 for adults per strip.

Our fundraising bake sale has been rescheduled for Wednesday 23rd November. There will be a range of cakes and goodies on offer from as little as 10p.  Pupils will be able to buy one or two items when they visit the bake sale with their classes and then if we have any goodies left, pupils with additional money will be able to purchase extra items.

Thank you in advance from P3G for all your support with this fundraising event.  Looking forward to seeing everyone dressed in their spots etc. at the assembly on Friday.

P3G NEWS FLASH!!!!

spotacular

Dear Parents/ Carers,

P3G would like to invite you along to their ‘Children in Need’ assembly on Friday 18th November.  This will be a spotacular event and parents and children are encouraged to ‘wear your spots’ and dress down/ dress up for this event.  There is no set cost for pupils to participate in this dress down day however, any donations will be greatly received and will be going to a very worthy cause.  There will be raffle tickets available for pupils to buy throughout next week (50p a strip) and for adults (£1 a strip) to buy from the office and at the assembly.  We are hoping to hold a spotty bake sale for the rest of the school, although this may need to take place the following week due to timescale – We will keep you and the pupils posted on this!

We hope you can join us for this special event and look forward to ‘spotting’ you all in the audience.

P3G and Mrs Waugh
