Aims Assembly

On Friday we had an assembly to share our new school aims that the pupil council rewrote into child friendly language. Each stage took a different aim.

  • P1: We aim to have fun and interesting learning where everyone tries their best.

  • P2: We aim to live by our school values and have a welcoming school.
  • P3: We aim to develop our skills and recognise achievements.

  • P4: We aim to provide an exciting place to learn and to learn about things that interest us.
  • P5: We aim to connect our school life to our home life and our local community.
  • P6: We aim to become independent learners by making our own choices and decisions.
  • P7: We aim to be prepared for transitions and the world of work.

The nursery also created a video to share their values with us.

Nursery Newsletter August

Dear Parent/Carer,

It has been a busy and exciting first week in our new nursery building with the return of our preschool children and welcoming new families and children to our school.

Our nursery motto is ‘playing to learn, learning to play’ and that has been evident as the children explore their new building and resources. The staff worked hard over the holidays to ensure the learning environment was set up and ready for the new school term, and it lovely to hear positive feedback from you all.

It is great to see so many of you choosing to wear our new nursery uniform, which was designed by a pupil last session. This helps to give the nursery a sense of identity in the larger school community.

We would like to welcome Mrs Williamson and Mrs Murphy who are new early years practitioners in our nursery team.

We look forward to seeing you all at Meet the Teacher on Thursday 7th September at 6:30. This is a session for parents and carers, which will let you find out about learning in the nursery and how you can support your child at home.

Term 4 Celebration Assembly

Today we had our final Celebration Assembly. The Technical Troopers past and present were recognised for their contributions across our whole school community, from supporting teachers to setting up for CEMs, presenting to WL Head Teachers and staff to organising our Digital Award Accrediation. They have worked very hard to embed digital learning across our school and nursery.

We awarded Remarkable, STEM Superstars and Top Scorers for the term. Congratulations to everyone who received an award.

Congratulations to Cunigar for winning the house cup this term.
