This week Primary 4 went to the National Museum of Scotland to explore the exhibits and take part in a Dinosaur workshop. We began by taking a look at the different exhibits at the museum, paying particular attention to Dinosaur displays. The children enjoyed looking at the T-Rex skeleton and were amazed at the size of the bones!
We then took part in a workshop where each small group had the opportunity to take on the role of Palaeontologists. The children were set a task to piece together evidence and work out which dinosaur the evidence belonged to. Each group looked at dinosaur foot prints, fossils and dinosaur teeth!
We had a roaring good time!
It looks like you all really enjoyed your trip. What new information did you learn about dinosaurs?
