P3/2 had lots of fun at the museum today as part of our class topic. The children explored lots of different areas in the museum such as music, space, animals and Ancient Egypt. The children were a credit to Longridge Primary School.

P2/1 and P7/6 enjoyed some collaboration time today. We worked in mixed groups to design an obstacle course, thinking about available resources and space.
We then chose our resources and created our course. P7/6 were the health and safety officer, risk assessing every step.
We loved trying out our own and everyone else’s obstacle course.

We love celebrating the wonderful achievements of our pupils, this month we have had some wonderful sporting achievements, with lots of medals being won! We have also had some fantastic achievements in hiking and bravery during aerial assault courses as well as effort and achievement in leaning new skills including lambing! We love to hear about the wide and varied interests of our pupils.

Our Head Teacher Award winners enjoyed some hot chocolate and biscuits. Certificates were awarded for kindness, perseverance and being ready to learn. We are so proud of our pupils.
In health and well-being, the children took part in a fun and engaging hand washing experiment to learn about germs. We used pepper to represent germs on our hands and discovered when we put our finger in the water without soap, the “germs” stuck to us. However, when we added soap, the pepper quickly moved away, showing how soap helps remove germs effectively. We then created a hand washing sequencing to help people wash their hands correctly.
