Book Week Scotland

Primary One have really enjoyed celebrating Book Week Scotland! We have enjoyed reading the new books that were gifted to us.

We had a book adventure outside with our nursery friends. All of the pages of the Gruffalo book had blown all over the garden, we had to find them and sort them into the correct order before we could enjoy the story.

We loved having our parents in to stay and play with play opportunities linked to the books in Bookbug bags. Our favourite book was The Quickest Bedtime Story Ever!

Volcanoes

Primary 2/1 have began learning about volcanoes this week! We have used our creativity and collaboration skills by creating our own volcanoes, exploring landscapes, drawing volcanoes, and building lava caves with our building blocks. We have also used our knowledge of volcanoes in our writing. Primary 2/1 have been successful learners this week and engaged brilliantly in our new child-led topic!

P5/4 are getting active!

P5/4 have been taking part in a block of lessons with Shanii from Sustrans. We have improved our scootering and cycling skills over the past few weeks and this week we went on a led walk all the way to Fauldhouse and back! We used rhythm keeping the beat with instruments while we walked and had a pitstop at the park before returning to Longridge.

Numeracy

Primary 7 have been practising their multiplication this week, multiplying 2 digit numbers by 2 digit numbers using the grid method.
Today, we took this outside to practise.
