Our Anti-Bullying Ambassadors and Health and Well-being Mini Champs have worked alongside Mrs McLaren, Mrs Murray and Miss Smith to update our school Anti-Bullying Policy. This morning the HWB Mini Champs shared the policy and strategy with pupils and parents. We then had the pleasure of watching ‘Hope’, a production all about bullying which shared a very important message on how bullying can impact your life, why someone may be a bully and the importance of telling a trusted adult if you are or know anyone who is being bullied.

This week in Building Thinking Classrooms, the children had to work together to find all the numbers between 1-100 before the time ran out. The pupils used their collaboration skills to work in their groups, their communication skills to share their ideas and their critical thinking skills to work out how to complete the task.

Primary 6/5 have been learning all about Ramadan the last few weeks in preparation for our upcoming Ramadan assembly. We have been learning about when Ramadan takes place and why Muslims celebrate Ramadan and how they celebrate. One of our class members brought in some prayer mats and the Qu’ran for us to have a look at which was wonderful to see!

P6/5 thoroughly enjoyed our outdoor learning session this week. We went to the woodland area behind the school and our first task was to find and identify different types of plants and trees using the branches and leaves. Next we had to build a den using team work and our communication skills. Before heading back to school we measured the average age and height of trees using our counting and measuring skills.
