3D Objects

P6/5 have been using their knowledge of 3D objects to create some Christmas themed pictures on paint 3D. Can you spot which 3D shapes we have used?

We also made cubes and cuboids from their 2D nets in which we had to cut and fold it together to make it into its 3D form.

Gruffalo Collaboration Fun

Our Primary 1s used their collaboration skills to explore to book ‘Gruffalo’s Child’. Primary 1 collaborated with the nursery to create Gruffalo cookies, Gruffalo tea (and biscuits!), Gruffalo crumble, and build the Gruffalo’s home using the construction blocks. This collaboration session allowed our pupils to be successful learners and confident individuals through supporting each other in activities. We had a super fun afternoon seeing our book come to life!

Anti-Bullying Assembly

Our Health and Wellbeing Mini Champs have worked hard with Mrs. McLaren and Miss Smith to develop and create a new Anti-Bullying Strategy. On Thursday we were joined by Fischy Music who taught us songs all about kindness, respect, friendship and bullying. We showcased our learning at a concert in the afternoon and our HWB mini champs launched the new anti-bullying strategy.

P5/4 are building a thinking classroom

P5/4 were working on their problem solving and critical thinking skills this week. We worked in random groups to try to solve a problem involving a Rubik’s cube. We found it tricky at first and we are working on showing our thinking and asking questions to help us solve problems!

Maths

In Primary 7 we started our money topic this week. We began our topic by using active ways to recap our previous knowledge of money. We practised our coin and note recognition, adding up coins and calculating change. We used our collaboration and communication skills to work in groups.
