Lockerbie Day 3

Our final day has arrived all the children have enjoyed their final activities at Lockerbie. This morning we all did Manor Olympics where we played different team games by collaborating together. Our final sessions were initiative and bivvi where we used our problem solving skills and critical thinking skills to build dens and worked to solve tricky challenges. We are all excited to get back home and tell everyone what we have been up to over the last few days ๐Ÿ˜Š

Lockerbie Day 1

Everyone arrived safely at camp yesterday and had a fantastic day. After settling into our rooms we went abseiling, climbing, the obstacle course and axe throwing.

We are up bright and early this morning for breakfast and ready for another day ๐Ÿ˜Š.

Canoeing

P6 and P7 were canoeing this week with Excite. The pupils paddled along the canal playing different games to practise their canoeing skills. We worked on our communication and collaboration skills, working together to paddled the canoe to the correct place. The pupils showed great courage and perseverance!

P6/5 Measure

P6/5 have worked hard this week on our maths topic of ‘measure’. We discussed different units of measurement and worked on converting between metres, centimetres and millimetres. We took our learning outside where we had to measure natural objects.

Ramadan

Primary 6/5 have been learning all about Ramadan the last few weeks in preparation for our upcoming Ramadan assembly. We have been learning about when Ramadan takes place and why Muslims celebrate Ramadan and how they celebrate. One of our class members brought in some prayer mats and the Quโ€™ran for us to have a look at which was wonderful to see!
