Sharing Our Learning
In Primary 4 this week, we have been working on our 2D shapes. We played different games to practise identifying 2D shapes, discussing the different properties of 2D shapes and practising making tessellation patterns. We were using our communication, creativity and critical thinking skills.
This week Primary 4 started their interest stations. In these the pupils lead their learning in small groups. They used their collaboration and communication skills to plan out what they want to learn and how they are going to do it. For this block the pupils have chosen to do stop motion animation, art and Hama beads. Lots of creativity, collaboration and communication skills being used!
Primary 4 have been practising our addition this week in numeracy. We have been using our partitioning strategy to add 2 digit numbers and 3 digit numbers together.
In our Building Thinking Classrooms we have been working on our communication and collaboration skills to work together to solve a problem.
Primary 4 had their first music lesson this week with NYCOS, they are going to be coming into our classroom for a block of music lessons. This week, we practised clapping along to the beat of a song through different games, we practised singing along to the beat and hour music hand signals. We used our communication and collaboration skills when working as a group and in pairs and we used our creativity by making music.
P3/2 and P4 have been working hard towards our Diwali assembly. This week we have been using our creativity to make Rangoli patterns and firework art. We cannot wait to show all our parents our hard work on Friday!
