Maths in P4

In Primary 4, we have been learning about tessellation. We have been investigating why some shapes can fit together to create patterns and other shapes. This week, we were learning how to make shapes with other shapes. The pupils were using their collaborating and communication skills working in their small groups. They were using critical thinking to come up with different ways to make a rhombus and a hexagon using different shapes.

Kids Gone Wild

This week, P4 went out to the forest with Kids Gone Wild. We had an amazing time looking and exploring at our surrounding, we then got to have a shot on the hammocks, the slack line and the rainbow net. We also had time to build a den or two. The class showed great communication and collaboration skills when working together to build dens.

PE

P3/2 and P4 are focusing on gymnastics this term in PE. This week we were practising our balancing skills. The pupils showed perseverance when trying different balances and kindness when helping others to try new balances.

Our final day has arrived all the children have enjoyed their final activities at Lockerbie. This morning we all did Manor Olympics where we played different team games by collaborating together. Our final sessions were initiative and bivvi where we used our problem solving skills and critical thinking skills to build dens and worked to solve tricky challenges.
