In our Interest stations this term, the pupils have chosen between crochet, art, clay and cake decorating. This week, the pupils were working hard to create and to use their new skills. Our art group was experimenting with paint this week, building on from their sketching the week before.

Our cake decorating group were following a nature theme this week and made some amazing looking cakes 🧁

Our clay group created statues out of clay, using their skills to add detail to their statues this week.

Our crochet group practised their crocheting skills and have started to make progress on how to crochet 🧶

Some great collaboration and communication going on within the groups this week!

This week was P6/5/4’s turn to have ICA Academy in our PE lesson. We were focusing on improving our football skills through different games and activities while practising our dribbling, passing and shooting skills.

This term P6/5/4 are practising our team building skills by playing different games and challenges. We have been using our collaboration, communication and critical thinking skills to solve problems and work in teams.

This week in P6/5/4 we have been practising our place value using different games. We used our dienes and number counters to build numbers.

We also practised writing our numbers in words using a set of playing cards.

Lots of collaboration and communication within our groups while playing our games, and some great recall of our place value.

We have had a great first week back to school in P6/5/4! We have played some games to get to know our new classmates. We have discussed our rights within our class and have come up with some rules we will follow linked to our rights.
In P6/5/4 we also created some art were we drew a self portrait. Within our portrait we include things that we are good at, things we enjoy doing, something we are looking forward to learning this year and a goal for this coming year. It was great to see so many different interests and hobbies within our class!
