Our cake decorating club had a real challenge this week with lots of fiddly elements to create. Didn’t they do a great job?
Look at these beautiful cupcakes our pupils created at their first cupcake decorating after school club. We are really excited to see how their skills develop over the next few weeks.
Our Junior Road Safety Officers and Rights Respecting Schools Steering Group worked with local policemen to carry out speed checks on Main Street with a view to assessing how safe the roads are around our school.
This was a really interesting exercise and the children were disappointed to find some drivers speeding. This has provided us with useful evidence as we begin to plan how to improve this in order to keep our pupils safe.
Introducing our new Wellbeing Ambassadors. Our participatory budget was spent on a Wellbeing Training Program for children. We have had a great afternoon learning the Five Ways to Wellbeing and look forward to planning ways to teach the rest of the school about this.
We learned the importance of being active to improve our wellbeing.
We enjoyed some mediation and a hot drink to calm our brain and to take notice of how we feel.
We practised gratitude.
We helped to shape the role of Wellbeing Ambassadors at Longridge Primary School.
It was a pleasure to take our school choir to Answer House to spread some festive cheer to the elderly people there. Their beautiful singing was appreciated and they were even asked for an encore!
