A fun packed week from making rockets, investigating electric circuits,  practising poems to singing songs!

We kicked off our new topic “The Solar System … and beyond!” by making a huge rocket to help us explore the Solar System and possibly even other parts of the universe.

The topic is already prompting great questions like “What is Gravity, and why is there not any in space?”, “How do they sleep in the ISS?” and most importantly “How do they do the toilet in the ISS?” – The last question horrified most of the class when they found out that the urine in the ISS space station is actually recycled into drinking water!

The class have enjoyed being scientists as well this week – finding out about what electricity is, and how it works – and investigating and successfully making electrical circuits.
