You may need to plan ahead for this activity, but why not have a go at one of the recipes in the booklet below?
You could also have a go at baking or cooking something else, then writing up a recipe for us to try.
Happy cooking!

I thought these little paper handprint bunnies were a great activity for Easter and so easy to make. All you need are paper, pens and scissors. Why not make a whole family of bunnies!

If you’ve got an Easter Egg hunt planned, you’ll need something to collect your eggs! Why not try making a basket from paper or card? We’ve included some templates below, but you can always draw out your own. To make your own basket you’ll need to draw out an open net of a cube (remember when we did the nets of cubes in class?). Take a look at the templates provided to help you draw your own.
You could plan your own Easter Egg Hunt by making paper eggs and hiding them for your family to find. Not as exciting as finding a chocolate egg, but just as fun!
Here are some templates for other arty activities you can share with your family:

Easter Egg Mindfulness Greetings Cards
Easter Eggs Mindfulness Colouring
Easter Egg Symmetry
Enjoy!

Attention Parents/Carers
Axel Scheffler has illustrated a digital book for primary school age children, free for anyone to read on screen or print out, about the coronavirus and the measures taken to control it. Published by Nosy Crow, and written by staff within the company, the book has had expert input: Professor Graham Medley of the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine acted as a consultant, and the company also had advice from two head teachers and a child psychologist.
Click on the link below to download a copy of the book or click here to visit the Nosy Crow website.

If you looked up into the sky last night you might have seen the amazing ‘Super Pink Moon’. It was the biggest moon of the year and although the moon doesn’t actually change size it just looks bigger and brighter when it is closest to the earth. (Fact – The term ‘pink moon’ doesn’t actually refer to its colour but as it is the first full moon of spring it is named after pink flowers called wild ground phlox which bloom at this time.)
Studying the different shapes of the moon can be fascinating and I have added a moon journal that you can use to record the different phases of the moon over the next month. If you don’t have a printer, don’t worry, you can just date and draw a picture of the shape of the moon in your jotter or paper.
Here is a video to explain the different phases of the moon….

Why do Christians celebrate Easter?
PowerPoint: Why Do Christians Celebrate Easter
PDF version: Why Do Christians Celebrate Easter
For Christians, the Easter egg is symbolic of the stone rolling away from the front of Jesus’ tomb. Painting Easter eggs is an especially beloved tradition in the Orthodox and Eastern Catholic churches where the eggs are dyed red to represent the blood of Jesus.
Decorating Eggs
Why not have a go at decorating an egg? If you are decorating a real egg, make sure to hard boil it first and then let it cool down (get an adult to help you with this step). You can decorate it with pens, paint and/or food colouring!
Don’t worry if you can’t use a real egg. You could draw an egg onto paper/card and decorate it that way. We’ve added some mindfulness colouring sheets too, or why not make your own mindfulness egg?

Enjoy!
