STEM Challenges 4th May

As some of you may know the school are due to take part in the Great Science Share, a event which aims to encourage children to ask questions & develop their natural curiosity! The event is due to take place on June 16th, so we thought in the lead up to the event we would give you a few STEM activities to get you thinking, talking and tinkering!

“What is STEM?” I hear you ask! STEM is the subjects of Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths applied in a way that means the skills are used together. More information can be found here.

There are 4 STEM activities aimed at learners from Nursery through to Primary 7, but please feel free to try out any (or all) of them. And most importantly, please remember to share what you’ve been up to including any questions the children have.

You can share your photos/comments/children’s questions below, or on our Facebook page or by Tweeting us on @HarrysmuirPS or @missgorman_p5 and use #GreatSciShare #HMPSSTEM
