P5 are working with Software Training Scotland on Garage Band. Each week we are adding tracks to compose our own version of a chosen song. Hopefully we will upload our finished pieces at the end of the block.

RCS Music Visit P5
The Royal Conservatoire visited P5 to let them have a taster session playing a cello or a violin.
Tuition is being offered and all children received a letter with details of how to secure a place. Be quick to have a choice of instrument, it is first come, first served!

New Build Photos

P6 Build Update
Lendrick Muir
Everyone has settled in really well. No tears (though not a huge amount of sleep either!).
Yesterday’s activities were a combination of two of the following; Low Ropes, Tree Climb, Nightline and Mini Survival. Last night we all took part in the Iron Man challenge. This morning was a huge Search and Rescue mission (task- not a real emergency!) in the beautiful weather.
This afternoon each group will complete the two remaining activities from the above list. Tonight we’ll all get dressed up for the Cheesy Disco!
Tomorrow morning we’re looking forward to stripping beds, packing cases, Team Challenges and Rocket Launch.
After lunch we’ll head back home. We are hoping to be back at school for 3/3.15. Please meet the children from the bus if you can as it will save them pulling their luggage up to the school. We will groupcall if there are any delays.
P6 Build Update
Euroquiz 2016
Well done to Abbi, Lily, Liam and Poppy for competing at the Howden Park Centre today. They did a great job in a super tough quiz! 
Euroquiz 2016
P6 decided they would like to enter the West Lothian Euroquiz 2016.
We are required to select a team of 4 pupils to attend the quiz. Selection will take place in class on Wednesday when we’ll have a general knowledge quiz about aspects of Europe. The four categories are; Geography, Languages, European Union and, Culture, History and Sport. The highest scoring four pupils will qualify (and the 5th become the reserve).
The quiz is totally voluntary and the children understand that the selected pupils will be required to research in their own time as well as using opportunities at school. The team may choose to allocate specialist areas to each member to make sure all subjects are covered.
