Welcome to Primary Five’s first contribution to the Blackridge Primary School Blog.
This week we have been working hard researching Victorian houses and the features associated with these. We collected ideas and sketched them in our project books before incorporating them into our super duper house drawings.
We are now looking forward to creating a Victorian street scene. We will post a picture or two when it is completed!
Can I take this opportunity to remind everyone that gym is on a Tuesday and Wednesday and gym kit should be brought on these days.
Primary Two have been learning about Space. We have recently completed some home research and the children were excited to bring in their work this morning!
We have been using our large construction toys and junk modelling materials to build space rockets.
Please look at our photographs and see all the fun we have been having.
This term we are learning about Weather in Primary 3. So far we have been finding out about climate zones of the world and weather forecasting We will be working in groups to create and present a weather forecast. We are looking forward to a trip to Dynamic Earth in the coming weeks. Letters will be sent out soon.
Primary 6 have received a letter from William Wallace. He’s worried Edward I is about to invade Scotland and is looking for our help. We’ve been working in our ‘clans’ to research life in the Middle Ages, to prepare to join William Wallace in the event of an invasion!
We explored different materials as part of our Science this week. We then predicted what would happen if we put them in water. Would they float or sink?
