Good afternoon boys and girls, hope you worked hard this morning. Here are some tasks for this afternoon.

MATHS

This afternoon, can you use your feet to measure items around your house? How many footsteps long is

  1. your bed
  2. your living room floor
  3. your garden (or path if you don’t have one)
  4. the bottom of a door
  5. your hall
  6. your bath or shower
  7. a table
  8. any other item in your house or garden

Good morning everyone, hope you had a good weekend. Can you believe it’s the last week of term? Here are your tasks for this morning.

LITERACY

Log onto Sumdog and complete the spelling challenge that has been set for you. This challenge is based on the words you have learned this year in Primary 2. I will log on to see how you are getting on.

Continue to practice your tricky words on your word wall as much as possible

Literacy Task

Here is a lovely story about Kindness. Watch and listen to the story and then write 5 sentences to say what you will do this week to be kind to someone.

Draw a picture for one act of kindness.

5 things I will do this week to be kind are:

  1. Today I will offer to help my son make a tent in the house.
  2. I am going to make cupcakes tomorrow for my neighbour because it is her birthday.
  3. When I go for my daily walk, I am going to smile at a stranger.
  4. I am going to call my mum and tell her I love her.
  5. I am going to call a friend and give her a compliment.

MUSIC

Mrs Keenan has asked you to watch this video about the continents around the world. Join in and have fun!

 

TOPIC

We have been making maps for the last few weeks. This is our last week of making maps. Today can you design your own treasure map? You can design it with materials from your craft pack or draw it in your jotter. You can add anything you want to your treasure map, the choice is yours! Don’t forgot to put an X where the treasure is.

Make different amounts up to 10p/20p/50p/£1 or beyond if you can using the coins you have found.
