How did you get on this morning?

Planning your dinner party

Now you have your invitations, what will you make for your dinner party?

Here is what I would have:

Starter: Bread sticks and dips

Main: Tomato pasta with garlic bread

Dessert: Fruit skewers

Draw your Starter, Main and Dessert laid out on the table.

Writing: The focus this week is a dinner party! With adult permission you will be hosting your own dinner party for your family on Friday!

L.I: I am learning to write invitations.

Write your family invitations to your dinner party in your neatest handwriting! Remember to include:

  1. When the dinner party will take place (day and time)
  2. Where the dinner party will take place (location)
  3. Contact information (email address or phone number)

 

Get Creative: Give your guests another treat.

Literacy Task

Here is a lovely story about Kindness. Watch and listen to the story and then write 5 sentences to say what you will do this week to be kind to someone.

Draw a picture for one act of kindness.

5 things I will do this week to be kind are:

  1. Today I will offer to help my son make a tent in the house.
  2. I am going to make cupcakes tomorrow for my neighbour because it is her birthday.
  3. When I go for my daily walk, I am going to smile at a stranger.
  4. I am going to call my mum and tell her I love her.
  5. I am going to call a friend and give her a compliment.

Primary 1-3 PE Challenge

Hello boys and girls.

Art

Let’s do a bit of weaving! Now here is a list of things you will need for this activity.

  • Googly eye (or make one out of paper)
  • White or black card (or paper)
  • Scissors/glue
  • Colour paper (or colour your own strips of paper)

First, you need to cut out a shape of a sea creature, I have attached a picture of a fish but you could choose something else.

Then you need to cut straight lines across the shape of the animal.

Then you need to weave your strips of coloured paper over and under through the straight lines.

Finally, you can decorate your animal!
