Polkemmet Primary School – Back to School Information

Dear parents/carers,

I would like to keep you updated regarding Polkemmet Primary School plans to re-open on the 12th August 2020.

READY TO RETURN – Our primary focus has been the physical safety, mental and emotional wellbeing of children and staff, in planning our return to school. We know that some families may have found the lockdown difficult, we all have different levels of worry or anxiety about our return to school, this is normal. Our planning will put wellbeing at the heart of our school return/curriculum.

We are immensely proud of our children and we thank all parents and carers for their understanding, resilience and support throughout.

  1. Will there be more information given on Monday 10th such as pick up times for the new P1s as there has been no times stated personal belongings such as stationary/P.E etc

  2. Hi there,

If you click into the attachment there is detailed information on pick up times and places. (On my computer the link to the attachment is in green and says ‘Back to School Arrangements August 2020 v2’)

P.E. will most likely start next week. Pupils will be told what days they are due to have P.E. and they can come to school in P.E. kit that day. (Details in the attachment.) P.E. can also be brought and stored in their own lockers.

    I hope this helps.

    Mrs Harding
