Never did I imagine that 5 dark coloured bags with secrets items inside could be so exciting!
Or should I say scary, for a bunch of P7’s!
Thanks guys, for a fantastic lesson, full of laughs, very strange looks on faces and the odd scream with a jump (you know who you are)!
Today both Primary 7 classes worked together to think about what they would see, hear and smell within our stories for Big Writing. To help us put together some good adjectives to desribe our ideas we worked visited 3 stations to think about each of these senses.
Mrs Spence helped us think about what we could see, by discussing these pictures with us:
Miss Mitchell let us listen to some audio clips that let us think about the sounds that we might hear.
Whilst Mrs Inglis made us close our eyes and describe the smells that we might find on a desert island.
Write a message for Michael to put in a bottle.
4 Lines maximum.
Write two things that you would hope to find on the island if you were Michael, and why that you would choose them.
After all of our hardwork finding information and taking relevant notes about our key questions, it was time to write our reports about Giant Pandas.
We now have a display in our class showing the notesheet, the completed report and feedback sheet about our work.
Monsieur McAvoy held a fantastic competition during French today!
Not only had you to translate the item of clothing from French to English, but you also had to find it and put it on quicker than your opponent.
After making quite a mess all over the classroom floor, Sean was challenged to pack Monsieur McAvoy’s suitcase item by item as they were called out in French.
Which of the places that Michael and his family visited during Chapter 3, would you like to visit most?
Please write a reason for your choice!
