Flu Season is HERE!

Dear Parents/carers,

Flu season is here, here are some tips and reminders about illnesses when at nursery.

If your child is unwell and won’t be attending nursery please phone and let a member of staff know they can also advised what the exclusion period will be if you need advice.

Sickness and Diarrhea – 48 hour exclusion period from the last episode.

Hand, foot and mouth – once children are no longer unwell they can attend usually 1-5 days after diagnosed.

Scarlet fever – until clinically recovered and 24 hours after start of treatment.

Chicken pox – Until spots become dry (approx 7-10 days)

Whopping Cough – 48 hours from starting appropriate treatment or 21 days from onset of symptoms if no antibiotic treatment.

These are the most common infections/illnesses but please access NHS guidelines online detailing illnesses, exclusion periods and treatments.

Thank you

Cloakroom and Belongings

Dear parents/carers,

Please can we ask that you take all your children’s belongings home at the end of each session.  Pegs are shared between children at nursery and therefore it needs to allow the other children space to hang their belongings up.

Nursery shoes can remain in the box provided and wellie boots can be placed on the wellie boot stand – ensure all belongings are labelled.  Please can we ask other belongings such as bags go home.   This will also help to keep our cloakroom nice and tidy and work towards reducing children losing or misplacing their belongings.

Thank you for your continued support.
