Welcome back!

Image result for welcome back

Just to say a warm welcome back to everyone after the Summer break.  Already there are lots planned and the children have settled well into their routine. There will be a September newsletter issued at the beginning of the month, but a few key things to remember in the meantime.  Our first ‘dress down’ or non-uniform day is on Friday 2 September and children are reminded to bring in their donation.  Also, with regard to cycling, can we remind you to walk your bicycle when in the school groups.  The school car park is for staff use only.  The school can be accessed from the front and back gates into the school grounds.

There have been growing concerns with regard to the safe use of some Apps and in particular, Pokemon Go.  Please see the link below for further information and guidance:

I hope you find the above guidance useful.

UNICEF and Den Day

Thank you to everyone who contributed to our charity fundraising efforts this session.

We raised £690.89 for UNICEF. (This includes £23 from Kaitlyn Tedford, P4 and £27.30 from Miles Anderson, P3,  who independently earned their donations at home). The money raised will go towards the vital work UNICEF does to keep children safe in emergencies.

For Den Day (Save the Children) we raised £132.25.  This money will help make life better for children around the world.

Well Done Meldrum!

P4 River Almond Concert

Please use this link to listen to our wonderful River Almond music. The children all composed their own parts and practised to play beautifully in time.

We raised £72.70 for UNICEF through this event. Thank you all for your donations.

Den Day Winners

Here are the two winning dens from yesterday. As a reward the teams were allowed to rebuild their dens today. They were also given a special snack which they ate in their den. Well done to both groups!

Sports Day

We had perfect conditions for sports day – not too hot for the children to run around in.  Thank you to all the families who came down to support this special day for the children.  It was very close, but the winning house is Torridon.  The children are all looking forward to having an extra break to celebrate their win!  Thank you to Mrs Cameron and Mr Cox for organising this annual event and for all the staff who help to make it so successful.
