P4 River Almond Concert

Please use this link to listen to our wonderful River Almond music. The children all composed their own parts and practised to play beautifully in time.

We raised £72.70 for UNICEF through this event. Thank you all for your donations.

You may also be able to view this Powerpoint which the technical group created to go behind the orchestra.

Den Day Winners

Here are the two winning dens from yesterday. As a reward the teams were allowed to rebuild their dens today. They were also given a special snack which they ate in their den. Well done to both groups!

Sports Day

We had perfect conditions for sports day – not too hot for the children to run around in.  Thank you to all the families who came down to support this special day for the children.  It was very close, but the winning house is Torridon.  The children are all looking forward to having an extra break to celebrate their win!  Thank you to Mrs Cameron and Mr Cox for organising this annual event and for all the staff who help to make it so successful.

P4 Camping quotes!

I will post more pictures soon but first I want to thank all the wonderful P4 campers for their excellent company this week. A huge thanks to Mrs Cameron for all her hard work arranging it all and for keeping us all so well organised and to Ms Watson for making us all feel so well cared for. I also want to thank the parents for lending us your precious kids who are caring, independent, interesting and very well mannered.

I thought you would like to hear some of the things they said.

  • That was the most awesome experience I have ever had. (Walking in a burn)-  Reply – Just wait ’til you go sailing!
  • It’s like everyone here is my family.
  • I just can’t wait for this. (Dinner!)
  • I have never been allowed to do this in my whole life. (Walking down a burn.)
  • Everyone in my room treats me really well.
  • I woke up and said, “The sky is blue!”
  • We both slept really well.
  • I never thought I would hold a live newt.
  • How much further?
  • Mrs Cameron just blends in with the kids!
  • As soon as we woke up we started packing.
  • I can nearly swim properly now.
  • Mrs McGuire will be pleased because we soaked Mrs Cameron.
  • How much further?

You will also be very proud to hear what was said about the children by adults we met.

  • This group has been so good at helping each other and letting each other know about the hazards.
  • That is probably the largest shelter that has been built in this activity!
  • What lovely manners!
  • Best class we have had here.
  • Those sailors deserve a special award for how well they did and how calm they were.
  • I have had the best day at the pool today because these children are delightful.
  • What school are these children from? Their behaviour is impeccable.

It was a privilege to be with them.

A Visit from an Author

P1-4 had a visit from Laura Jackson, one of the authors of ‘Badger the Mystical Mutt’. Laura read some of Badger’s story to us and we got to meet Badger.

It was really fun and we can’t wait to read more of his adventures.IMG_2891 IMG_2897 IMG_2904 IMG_2908 IMG_2909
