Happy New Year

A very Happy New Year to all staff, parents and pupils. I hope everyone had a happy and restful holiday. It’s great to be back in school and this week I will be spending time in all of our classes.

A reminder that this Friday, January 6th is our Dress Down Day – £1 for each child.

Celebrations

Our Recorder Group perform for the first time in front of an audience at assembly.  They were absolutely fantastic – well done girls!

Building on the earlier work of Rookie Rockstars, it’s great to see the children enjoying singing the songs once again – ‘Let’s All Be Friends’  was the chosen song, and their expressions say it all!

Thank you for all your support and good wishes over the last year…

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Our Primary 7 pupils are leading the music and dances for our Primary 4 and 5 party today.  This is a great opportunity for them to transfer their newfound DJ skills from earlier this year.   Primary 4 and 5 are enjoying this experience.

An apple a day…

morrisons-apples-001 morrisons-apples-003 morrisons-apples-005 Our Morrison’s Champion, Ms Hendry, has been able to involve Meldrum Primary in a special ‘tree planting’ project.   Morrisons donated an apple tree for planting and a basket of apples for the school.  Our P5 pupils will be involved in planting the tree (when weather permits!) and they all enjoyed an apple.  The remaining apples were distributed to some of our Rainbow Room and Breakfast Club children.
