Primary 3 business is well underway.

The next steps in Primary 3’s enterprise project was to design business cards. Lots of I.T. skills to be shown here and this was their final draft:

Using this as a template they then asked Miss McConnachie to help them use the photocopier to reduce this to the size of business cards and this was the final result.

Now that the paperwork was finally finished it was time to go into production. Here are a few examples of the products being made.

Watch this space for further details of when the goods will be sold and for how much!

Primary 3 Enterprise Project

Primary 3 are learning all about running a business this term. They are all very excited about this. Their first step was to decide what they were going to do and to find the money to set this up. Hello Mrs Russell!!

Once Mrs Russell agreed to lend them the money they ordered the supplies needed and started to work on other aspects of the business.

First they had to choose a name for their company. After lots of writing, crossing out, editing and frustration as they tried to get it just right they came up with:

The Crazy Craft and Create Company.

Next they had to decide on a logo for their company. Below are a few of the first drafts.

Big Battery Hunt competition deadline

This is the last week to bring in your big collections of batteries to enter into the Big Battery Hunt competition (deadline Monday). Details of all batteries collected and by whom are entered into the Big Battery Hunt prize draw for a bigger prize, but we will also have some smaller prizes for Meldrum pupils who have collected the most batteries. We are up against lots of schools in the prize draw, but you never know, we may be lucky. So far we have collected nearly 13,000 batteries in school! Thank you for all your support with this.

ECO flag assessment

Our application has gone in to renew our eco school status for the next two years. We will hear in the next couple of months whether we have been successful. Fingers crossed we will have another green flag heading our way.
