We have had another fantastic week in Primary 2. We got to enjoy Primary 1’s assembly this morning about the Hungry Caterpillar. They told us about growing up and how they are learning to be stronger, braver and kinder everyday.

Great Green: “What went well…”

-We have been using our Mighty Writer board to create descriptive stories. We can retell the story and then write it in our jotter. We have to work hard to remember full stops, capital letters and using a connective to expand our sentences.

-We got to measure different items out in the playground during outdoor learning. We used metre sticks to measure lengths. Lam measured the notice board and it was 140cm. Callum measured a drain and it was 45cm. Matthew and Muhammad Ali measured the width of the classroom door and it was 100cm. Ellie measured 3 logs and they were 40cm. Eilidh measured a curb block and it was 90cm. We discussed how 100cm = 1M.

Think Pink: “Even better if…”

-We are going to learn more about different modes of transport. We would like to learn about air travel including aeroplanes, helicopters and hot air balloons. We would like to find out how they work and who first invented them.

-We would like to continue learning some French. The class have asked to learn how to say their names and what age they are.

Lead Learners:

Our lead learners are Eilidh and Willow this week for always displaying the school values. They are kind and respectful to everyone including their peers and members of staff.
