P6 – Friday 16th January

A good week for P6!

This week we have:

  1. On Tuesday, we took part in a French and Spanish live lesson.
  2. On Thursday, we did our first piece of narrative writing using the new rotations. We included the story mountain and figurative language which we have been learning about in reading. Similes and metaphors are examples of figurative language and are a fun way to compare something to something else.
  3. Also on Thursday, we started planning what we wanted our lapbooks to look like in topic to display our work on countries.

Great Green

  • French numbers to 50
  • Using the writing rotations to help us work independently in writing for the first time went really well!

Think Pink

  • Read over the question/task properly to know exactly what it is asking us to do
  • Answer questions in full sophisticated sentences, not in one word answers.

Lead Learner Update

Our Lead Learners this week are Mollie and Max who both demonstrated perseverance when working with/helping others and in their own work. Well done!
