The Victorians have arrived in Primary 5
Primary 5 are looking at the importance of the Victoria Era in our history;
looking at the life of children, the inventions, transport, the industrial revolution …… We are reading ‘The Mermaid in the Mill pond’ – this is a story about the life of children in a workhouse at this time.

Great Green – ‘What went well’

– We had lots of fun practising our badminton skills using balloons. We had to hold the racket in a thumbs up position, flick our wrists and keep the balloons from falling to the floor.
– In writing we described our monster using our core skills. We used capital letters and full stops :0) and adjectives and even similes. They were really good descriptions!!We are going to use these characters in our narrative writing.

Think Pink – ‘Even better if’

– When using a ruler we most remember to start at 0 not at the end of the ruler.
– Always remember to use a £ or p during money calculations.

Lead Learners.

Our lead learners last week did a great job. Thank you Neve and Lucy.
This week our Lead Learners are
Amelia-Rose and Lily.
Their task will be to support the class in measurement activities, making sure we all start at 0! as well as watching out for £ signs in money calculations!!
