Happy New Year!

We have had a busy first week back at school. Our topic for the month of January is Scotland and P2 have decided they would like to learn more about Scottish cities, Scottish castles and Scots’ myths and legends.

Great Green: “What went well…”

-Learning the 2 times table. We have been using our bodies and different objects in the classroom to make groups of 2. We have practised skip counting and recalling the 2 times table in full. Some children know it well and are looking to find the question “2×3” rather than the answer “6”.

Think Pink: “Even better if…”

-Continue to practise our Scottish poems. You have 3 to choose from in P2 – Cat and Mouse, Bus Queue or Twa’ Legget Mice. These have been sent home in reading packs.

Lead Learners:

Our lead learners next week are Annie and Willow who have shown respect and kindness to others by listening well, sharing when they can and offering to tidy up.
