P7 visit Scottish Parliament

Primary 7 were up early this morning to visit the Scottish Parliament.

They were taken on a tour of the building and learned about history of the parliament.

They managed to see inside the Debating Chamber and saw how MSP’s were able to cast their vote.

Once the tour was completed they then took part in a quiz about which areas of legislation were covered by the Scottish Parliament.

A trip up the Royal Mile followed the tour, including having a look at Holyrood Palace.

Lunch was next, and the pupils had their choice of food from the Waverly Food Court before they made their way back down to the Scottish Parliament to enjoy some time in the sun.

A lovely day out and a good time was had by all.
