We have been very busy this week in P1a. It is Maths Week so we played number tig in PE. When we got caught we had to make a number pattern with our fingers and our friend had to say the number to free us. We also enjoyed our number hunt.

Monday
We went to science and we talked about the solar system, it was really fun. After that we went to are class room to learn French and we had so much fun. In Maths, we did 4, 5 and 6 digit numbers and it was so much fun. Then we did some free writing
Tuesday
In the morning we done all about me and learned about Miss Lynch then we done our box up plan for our own writing. In math we did activities with 5,6,7 digits numbers. In the afternoon we did a lego challenge in RME to introduce our new topic creation. In grammar we learned how to use commas. Here are some eg: faith went to the shops and bought a twirl, eggs, milk, and a milkshake.
Wednesday
First we did reading and context clues. Context clues help you understand words you don’t know. Then we had break. After break we did some math’s and learned digits, it was fun! We had lunch. After lunch we learned how to use a comma, it was interesting! The finale thing we did was our topic… EUROPE!!!!! We did a sheet about the continents and a sheet which we had to name the countries of Europe. IT WAS SUPER DUPER FUN!!!
This week we had been doing alot stations in maths to practise our numeracy skills after our summer holidays. One of our stations was a sum dog competition and another one was math games, last we did emoji multiplication mosaic. (Finlay)
We also got introduced to our new topic which is Europe. We did our Single Word Spelling Test (SWST) and we also did science with Mrs Gorman. {Cooper}
We also wrote an imaginative story about eight magical doors where we chose one to go through to an unknown land! (Paige)
In topic we did art. In this we made flags and we put bridges and towers in the background! Look out for these when up in the dining hall at the coffee morning later this month (Elissa)
