Our P1 SWAY has been updated and you will find lots of new activities to get those brains working again after the Easter holidays.
IDL/Topic- There is a new IDL/Topic section where you will find a powerpoint about castles, some suggested activities and information about a new book assigned in your epic reading accounts.
Literacy/Reading section – You will find a castle facts reading comprehension activity.
Health & Wellbeing – Link to short clip on road safety, suggested activities, fun powerpoint story (includes a catchy rap!) and colouring pages.
Lots of fun learning!

P1 Easter Activities
Good afternoon P1,
New Easter activities have been uploaded to our P1 Sway. There are lots of suggested activities and websites on here but please don’t feel pressured to do everything and remeber, learning doesn’t always have to take place in a classroom, build a den, go on a scavenger hunt, bake a cake, play a game, create something using lego, blocks, cardboard etc., but most importantly PLAY!!!As we approach the spring holidays please take time to relax, rest and spend time with your families.

P1 Reading
Morning P1,
I hope you are all well, we are missing you all so much and hope you are enjoying learning at home. Here is a word mat which has some words you already know and some new words for you to learn. You could choose 5/6 words from the word mat and then select one of the activities from the spelling grid to do each day. Practice the same words for 1wk then choose a different 5/6 the next week.

A fantastic free website that makes learning to read fun. Designed for children in the first stages of reading to aid in recognition and blending. You can create your own monster and take it on an adventure through a magical world where you will meet fun characters, play games and win prizes!!
P1 The Stay Safe Rainbow STEM Challenge
Can you build/create the stay safe rainbow? If you haven’t got all the colours stated then use any colour of bricks you have. You could also design your own rainbow picture!
P1 Fun Number Songs
Great catchy number songs! Jack Hartmann has lots of videos on youtube and you get to workout while you count!
P1 No-Cook Playdough
A fun play based learning activity which incorporates numeracy and literacy. We have been working on procedural writing in class, after the activity encourage your child to write or draw pictures of the steps/instructions you carried out to complete the task. Have fun😁
