P5 have been learning how to write Haiku poems. We learned about syllables before writing our Haiku poems. Each Haiku was based on a rainforest plant or animal and we used our research notes to ensure the information was accurate. Our success criteria was to write a poem with 3 lines with 5 syllables in the first line, 7 syllables in the second and 5 syllables in the third. Watch this space for some excellent examples!
I would love to hear some of your Haiku poems primary 5. Your senses poems were great and i’m sure these will be just as good. Keep up your hard work! Miss Weston
