Rota 1 runs until 23rd September.

Rota 2 runs 26th September to 2nd December.

Rota 3 runs 5th December to 10th February

Rota 4 runs 20th February to 17th March

Rota 5 runs 20th March to 28th April.

Rota 6 runs 1st May to 2nd June.

Within the first rota, you should complete all of the key assessment tasks for tracking purposes. By the end of the second rota, the entire course should be completed.The table below shows which class is with which teacher in each rota:

S4 RME

In S4 RMPS pupils will study the following:

– the value of life: right to life, right to die, sanctity of life, personal autonomy

– use of embryos: reproductive, research and therapeutic

– end-of-life care: palliative care and hospices

– euthanasia and assisted dying: voluntary euthanasia, non-voluntary euthanasia, assisted dying provided by individuals or organisations.

While studying these topics pupils will learn how religious and non-religious groups respond to the issues and will be encouraged to develop their own opinions regarding medical ethics.
